The Star Stream Ride |
The Star Stream Ridea guardian watcher:
silicon surface of the planet:
endless sea of stars:
The Massif Central mountain range in Central France
The abandoned village of Luira:
deepening evening sky (a time of the dark of space approaching which helps us remember that we are not totally of matter), courage can survive (the thrill is so great that it only enlivens those brave enough to face it), patience of forever (outside of all encasements is the forever, and when there but for a little time, only the deep things of anyone can remain), birth (the emergence of the child enjoined with matter of an existence and the forever both enjoined), still the waves (recent uproars have developed and will soon be smoothed by the statement of the successful passengers), grown wild (no sufficient terms in modern language to define this), tempest torch:
propellant sand:
wispy time:
I'll just have to leave the rest for now. Maybe I'll get back to them sometime: regret and slime, minds of reverence, watchers, stars' wind-blown smiles, hope's courageous beam,
Gotten while watching the sunset till twilight on the edge of the abandoned village of "Luira" ("The City of the Wind") in the Massif Central mountain range in Central France. It was there in the quiet and the solitude, clad in the only garment I owned, a pair of cut-off jeans and living off of one meal a day of tuna fish, pasta, and a multi vitamin pill, that I got this impression that evening. I visualized each human child as embarking on a journey from a wonderful world of light into a gauntlet of turbulence as a ride on a tiny little bubble in a vast and endless sea of stars accompanied by a guardian watcher. The silicon surface of the planet on which each toddler child stands and begins to forget propels them on a voyage through the stars that is only survivable if the individual does not succumb to fear. And the wild waves can be stilled by the patience of forever. I did my best to bring this back. That's why I wrote the song. So I could bring it back for you. By Paul Hall, gotten in 1977 about the same time I wrote "Amigo Joe" and "See Things From the Other Feller's Side". The song: The blue of the deepening evening sky will tell me of the other side where every thought's for real and nothing here can steal my ride. The blue of the deepening evening sky will tell me of the other side where every thought's for real and nothing here can steal the thrill of my star stream ride. It's called your star stream ride. From this island of time right up to the other side. Only courage can survive the thrill of your star stream ride.
In the patience of forever, in the birth, too, of a child, enough is said to still the waves of what had once grown wild. The blue of the deepening evening sky will tell me of the other side where every thought's for real and nothing here can steal the thrill of my star stream ride.
The tempest torch in the warrior's hand where courage melts with mortal man the propensity of propellant sand in wispy time's regret and slime is borne the guts of beyond all rhyme and recon of the sublime. The blue of the deepening evening sky will tell me of the other side where every thought's for real and nothing here can steal the thrill of my star stream ride.
The blue of the night and the planet's gleam marks minds of reverence where watchers team to usher in the child through the stars' wind-blown smiles into hope's courageous beam. It's called you star stream ride. From this island of time right up to the other side. Only courage can survive the thrill of your star stream ride.
