The Constant in Medicine
This is the constant of the apothecary: that there is a remedy in the natural world of plants for every illness.
This is a sort of rule of thumb that can be safely assumed to be true, though there may be exceptions.
The long and the short of it is that we live in a chemical cosmos where chemicals react with other chemicals. This is the constant in medicine. Somewhere along the line
surgery has taken over from medicine, though the two really should be separate fields. There is a role of medicine involving
surgery but not vice versa.
