Decentralization of Cattle

There is ample space for huge cattle ranches -- in the mountains. But there is a little bit of work that needs to be done first.

The contours of the slopes need to be terraced by use of modern explosives much the same way highways are cut in rocky areas. In fact what you are making is a cattle highway that also includes a small unpaved service road. 

This allows the cattle to migrate up the terraces which due to the contour nature of one slope can actually cover great distances due to interconnectivity.

Terracing in some areas might be precluded upon the inevitable discovery of valuable minerals or natural recourses.
