H5N1 -- Avian Flue There may be an emergency treatment until you can get a vaccine for it, the problem isn't the organism, although flue viruses are mildly hemorrhagic, but the main problem may be the ensuing toxicity. It may be possible to program dialysis to filter out h5n1 toxins. The main problem in Vietnam is the two wars she had against western powers. First the French and then the Americans. The latter was particularly vicious, complements of the producers of napalm, Dow, and the largely incompetent Cameron Bay military cargo facilities, your friendly Halliburton and Company. Plus the guys who made the stuff that killed my father-in-law, agent orange. Now the Vietnamese are still attritted, I believe the term is, and the United States conveniently broke off relations with the Vietnamese, who, I suppose, are still paying the price for winning the war. Diseases like the menacing h5n1 are bred in areas of malnutrition, and for various reasons, including the other mistake on the flip-side of capitalism, communism, Vietnam was going to figure in again on the problem. You might have solved it by even so much as giving them free vitamins and minerals, and helping them with their agriculture a bit, but they probably wouldn't have accepted help. Maybe they will now, and it's a great time to mend fences and stave off this and future pandemics, that can be stopped even by healthy farm animals, let alone the people.
