Part of the Boreal Forrest Was Mailed to Me Against My Will You know where the Boreal Forrest is, don't you? It's the huge forest in Canada. Well slowly but Shirley (whoever she is...) they are giving Canada a crew cut up there, leveling the Boreal forest to supply pulp for paper the bulk of which goes for the paper used in junk mail and catalogues in the United States. When I heard that I thought, "Good Lord! That's the mountains of junk mail I've been getting! It's the Boreal Forrest. They've been mailing me a part of the Canadian Boreal Forrest against my will." There was nothing I could do about it. What's worse the garbage guys there where I used to live in New Hampshire, La Bounty, charged me two dollars a bag for just throwing it away. It costs that much in gas just to get to the nearest recycle station that would take it off my hands for free. The forests are going into United States landfills by the ton and there's nothing the citizens can do to stop it. You see, you don't have much say in the way big business or even big amounts of small business runs because these days the only ones that really get any results are the lobbyists. Now you think those boys and girls over there in the governments are going to think twice if the forests are thousands of years old and all that? In the first place, get real. They're human beings. Don't expect too much out of them or anyone else 'cause we're human. The only thing that keeps getting bigger is the dilemma and the disaster.
