Note: tiled in the background is one of the symbols of the economic failure of nations:
"The Border Guard".

A brief summary of some of the articles:

Recession Is In Your Mind

As the late Soviet Union may have noted on their way out, to control a people is to deny them the potential of economic viability.

The River of Wealth

As in most towns, the only economic engines that have existed have been economic accidents that are now failing because they are outside of an unseen river of wealth.

Failed States

This country is supposed to be a world leader, so it's in the business of rebuilding failed states.

Maiden America

What we're on about here is the mobile factory. Maiden America. She's a honey. No concern or stewardship for the human worker, for the individual. Just the profit motive.

The Matrix of Economic Engines

Prosperity consists of an appropriate if not an optimum matrix of economic engines.

The Texas Queen

The San Diego - Fort Worth Highway.

California's Product is Edge

No one else has The Golden Gate.

Computerized Candy Land

At the Mart a dramatic shift in inventory from usefulness to the amusing mixed with sham.

Employers Have an Interest in Stopping Price Gauging

Artificially high housing costs, among other expenses, weigh heavily on minimum-wage hikes.

Alambristas

One of the principles of Empire is that it must be done on the backs of a slave labor force.

The United States of the World

Legislation of the unrepresented has always been accomplished eventually by open warfare.  And that'll cost you big time.

High pump Prices Fueled by Fear

It's arguable that dictatorship is stronger than democracy, but dictatorships surly are less efficient than democracies.

The Economic Shadow

An area's wealth is measured the wrong way.  Wealth is in the success of a preponderance of tributaries or constituents.

The Beginning of the Jolly Good Feller Scenario

When there are more fellers than planters, so to speak, the ultimate scenario is eventual desolation, including business.

Human Mad Cash Cow Disease

The problem is economic cannibalism.  It takes a real cannibalistic people generations to discover it doesn't work.

The Camp's Targets

Attacks brought to you by the same people that drove Hitler insane.  The byproduct of economics.

A brief summary of some of the weblogs:

The Hamburg-Vietnam Expressway

Something that will probably never happen. And that's one reason why these countries are in such miserable poverty. Boarders.

Clash and Carry

So why would a bunch of people torch an entire huge housing complex in the name of some vague term they've come up with now, something like environmental terrorism?

Unemployment, a Lagging Indicator

The helpless ones are the pathetic corporations that were so incompetent that they couldn't keep employees.

The Red Bull Runs Through San Diego County

The southern portion of the bush fire at one point was at a place these blokes have even called "Eucalyptus Hills". I mean, they didn't get it, did they?  And worse yet, they'll probably never figure it out. No one wants to listen, they just love those gum trees.

Baby Boomers Will Surprise You

The baby boom generation may have far greater numbers of those who will never need to retire. They may be pioneering new businesses with legions of hired work forces working for them and continuing to do so well into their mid eighties. They may be paying more into welfare and Medicare than those who are already complaining ever could.

Inflation Quotes are Illusions  ........................  When they give those numbers, they're number than ever.

Outsourced -- to Countries Oily in the Morning   .....   First they pink-slipped you and then caused your gas prices to rise.

Wrong Superlatives ...  The superlative is so important in the information industry that if they get it wrong, it can collapse a whole aspect of business.  Okay, so now you know.  If it's written in stone it usually marks a grave.

The Burst Dot Com Bubble  ...  Once again, a new take on Eisenhower's warning about the Military-Industrial complex:  Stolen Ideas.  Same helicopter, same tank, same html.  They can't get new ideas; they eliminated the innovators.

The Yankee Coolly  ...  Yes, as they love to tell you, they're bringing it all back home:  the infamous sweatshop.  It only took long enough for them to find out how to do it.  Now they can sport the new partial truth tag, "Made in the U.S.A".  Hey, if the dollar collapses, they're home free.
