Baby Boomers Will Surprise You
I've always said it and I'll reiterate here: Better to be an aging baby boomer than a youthful dead-beat. And who might those dead-beats be? Those are the ones that are now benefiting from the productivity of the generation that went to the moon, but moaning and complaining that the boomers will cause
Medicare and welfare to go broke.
So you dead beats think that aging boomers will be a liability? Maybe you don't realize that they are a generation that works out,
innovated most of the technology you're using, were the entrepreneurs of most of the successful businesses in
existence today, barring a few that were around before the baby boom, such as Ford and
Wedgwood China, and so on...
You think these guys are just going to be chained to the rocking chair? Buddy, baby boomers will
surprise you. They just might turn out the be the healthiest, most active, most innovative bunch of oldies in all history. They might just be bailing you do-nothing kids out of your little cook-the-books dead-end alley you've wandered down just because you were trying to be different and didn't know how.
Yeah, it's a tough act to follow, eh kid? The baby boomers may still be so
active that they actually save welfare. Wasn't it some of you kids that
were going to try to have people invest in the stock market for their
retirement?
Most of what the former older generation had was illness due to ignorance mal-nutrition. They ate junk food and thought working out was for thugs. When you see the catastrophic illnesses and paralysis of aging those elders went through well, naturally your couch-potato brain is going to think the boomers will be not only the same, but more of 'em.
It's going to surprise you. The baby boom generation may have far greater numbers of those who will never need to retire. They may be pioneering new businesses with legions of hired work forces working for them and continuing to do so well into their mid eighties. They may be paying more into
welfare and Medicare than those who are already complaining ever could.
Ah, but you never thought of that. You thought they would roll over and die like the pre-war generation did. Well, that figures. Too lazy to think it out or to do anything but goof off. Just like the spoiled brats you always were.
Hey, if that's not you, then don't get upset. But if you're one of those
propagandizing against the boomers, just wait and see. A lot of those who
are so vocal are just trying to be cool and impress people. They're not
thinking, not using their minds.
Those are the ones who are bringing the economy down. And now in their laziness, they are trying to take away their own old age pension of the future trying to be so cool portraying aging to be a crime. Smoking, drinking, abusing substance, violent, anti-social, and now add selfish. Think again, kid. What goes around, comes around. Someday you're going to be the basket case on medicade only there won't be any. Not because the boomers took it from you, but because you did everything to defeat the prosperity they brought in.
Again, that may not be you, but the next time you encounter a dead-beat, put 'em in their place. You've got a brain, use it.
