Better Duck
During the twentieth century, the advent of influenza was a pandemic, followed by almost annual mutations of the virus.
It was found these emanated from China.
It was determined that the influenza was a viral infection prevalent in avian species that transferred to pigs then to man. That in areas of china, these elements were found in large, concentrated numbers in the same living space.
There is a phenomenon of ratios, here, it would seem, from simple to complex, or maybe something else.
The avian species is the duck, hence the title of this article. There is a suggestion of rapidity of infection here met with a proportional rapidity in immune response in the duck organism. That may not be quite it, but something like that may bring a mutation of the previous epidemic to the swine herds nearby which then gets transmitted to the human beings, making the jump between animal to man. Only the ducks keep the immunity, the people get the infection.
From there it's transmitted to the rest of the world by various means, including perhaps even airborne organisms that traverse continents and oceans by means of the stratosphere.
