A Time to Reckon Comes.

By Paul Hall, April, 1986, Mt. Isa, Australia.

King's chasms, oh perplexed men,

will rift the fertile plain

of settlers and of farmers

and sing the last refrain.

The peoples of

unconsciousness

they form the funeral train

that brings through their

tradition

another prophet slain.

...prophet slain, prophet slain

prophet slain.

Inevitably soon, oh man,

a time to reckon comes.

The morbid and the serpentine

will, in cold thought, be numb.

But those once mocked

and scorned and scourged

who in warm love abode,

King's chasms' but their pilgrimage

who walk forever's road.
