Poverty Protects Hope |
|
Poverty Protects the Slender HopeBy Paul Hall, April, 1986, Mt. Isa, Australia.
The delicacy and the art of cunning craftiness engendered false dependence and left all men bereft of anything of value and in mediocrity, that which was significant was stolen by the thief.
But poverty protected the outcast's slender hope; whose treasures stay in unseen lands where only hearts may grope in desperation and derision, beyond a darkened sky to where a hand does reach for them descending from on high.
Attention cast on vain things which gleam before the eyes, will mar the greatest treasures which, past all eyesight lies hidden in forever where only travelers go, as outcasts of man's kingdoms, to see what truth will show.
