Afforded Thus to Meby Paul Hall, 20th of April, 1986, Tenant Creek, Australia.
The sun now sets into the west, it sparkles in the rocks. And thus we know the stars will come with night-time in the East. For there is mentioned, in the hush, of energy's retreat.
And now, so very slowly, it sinks down golden red. I watch, with seconds only, to see it's sparkling head. Horizon's line of purple, marks where solar sped. Where the golden giant in quiet makes his bed.
After, in the silence, the sky in brilliant red marks a daily treasure. Yet centuries it has led terrain so oddly empty. Never shall they see this Sunday's pleasure afforded thus to me.
