The sensation of the seven walkways of gold was that there's the only life form that ever exists in the other parts of the galaxy is the humanesque, humanoid life form and what they could take with them. They left a long time hence in the future on the seven walkways, and now they populate the entire galaxy.
They're out there, but you can't see them and they can't see you because, it takes thousands of light years from the past to get to those that are in the future. At least that's the sensation. It could be nothing at all but a painting I did in a hotel room in Caracas Venezuela back in June of 1997.
