The directories play a growing role in the site as I'm making this up as I go
along. At first I thought that the directories would be redundant since
all the listings might just as well appear in the home pages for each category,
but then I realized that differences might emerge as the sight progresses.
For one thing the directories lack all the bells and whistles that might go into
a home page so they load faster. We'll see how they develop as we go
along.
You might be wondering how could one guy
come up with so much stuff? ADD, dyslexia, extensive traveling, a sense
of being here as a guest rather than an owner. Once in a dream I saw Woody
Guthrie riding a bicycle. He stopped and asked me "What's the
song?". I sang one of my songs for him and he said, "Not bad,
but you know what I really like? The songs with the eagle in
them." Yes the eagle. Mystery
and revelation. As Woody wrote in one of his song: "We come with
the dust and we're gone with the wind."

I mean, if one paints with a paintbrush, that brush is

made up for computer generated images, so please forgive my having to resort to
the use of the term "digital" until we can come up with a better term
like felapbemuaimeterous (cat-like beautiful fashion using measurement of great
number-crunching).

Humor:
You know, I think I heard it
said that you can tell a joke, but you can't tell it much. Actually it's
easy to tell a joke there are so many of them walking around out
there.
During my time as a street
performer, for a while there in Paris I performed as "ZigZag the
clown". I was being trained by Zeke, whom I called "Doctor Bow
Tie". He wore a bow tie, I wore a regular long tie. I had to quit my short career when a rail road inspector
brought me in for performing on the "Blue Boys", the blue commuter
train going out of the ancient Parisian train station, Saint Lazar. He
reported me to Interpol and to this day, as far as I can guess, they are still
looking for ZigZag. I began to see the importance of humor.
The high part of my act was to wave at the departing passengers with my tie,
only to have it get caught in the closing doors. Then I'd slip out of the
tie which was held in place by a piece of elastic to the amusement of the
heretofore horrified passengers. "Messieurs Dames, mon cravat ne me
tiennes pas." I would tell them. "My tie has no hold on
me." Then when the metro got to the next stop, I'd put it on just
before the doors opened.
