enlivening dig art |
This again is a premonition. It's a good thing back then in the sixties we didn't worry about realism or attention to detail, or I never would have gotten anything done except some schmaltzy crap that the mindless public out there approves of but doesn't do anything for the viewer except to tyrannize how he or she is going to see what is portrayed. Once I spent days on a drawing of an old pair of boots and that's what I had when it was finished: an old pair of boots on paper. Schmaltz, sentimentalism, nothing but a brag of the clever little artist; accomplishing nothing. Here, on the other hand, was something that would happen over thirty years later. Not Morrilla, but the enlivening. Click here to take a look at the drawing "The Enlivening of Morrilla". Click here to return to the Digital Art homepage.
