Delta Bird was a theme I've worked on several times in my landscape ideas.
For one thing, the landscape is basically a view from the surface of a planet or
whatever you're on, an asteroid, a comet nucleus, a moon and so on. Here
the elements of the highlands, are being carried as sediment to the sea where
they get deposited at the river's mouth as the fertile delta.
I had that in mind when I
painted Blue
Savannah Violet Forrest, about the same time. The bird was also a
